The way I see it Melbourne’s worth hopping a plane to visit any day of the week.
Last Friday I flew in for Kidspot’s Voices of 2015 launch and the announcement of their top online creatives. Whilst I didn’t take home a gong, I did come home agog at this inspiring community of online movers and shakers.
I’d also like to tip my lid to Kelly Burstow from Be A Fun Mum. She gave a powerful presentation that touched on the importance of kindness and humility; two traits Raychael from Agent Mystery Case understands. Raychael was one of the first bloggers to reach out to me online and I was so excited to finally meet her face to face.
Meanwhile, I also met The Freedom Travellers. They swapped corporate life for life in transit and the results are pretty gosh darn amazing. They ooze health and happiness which, if you ask me, is a pretty formidable formula. (p.s. their business card folds into a paper plane which is also pretty neat)
I plonked myself at a table of strangers who were so warm and welcoming, I just knew their blogs would be too. Make sure you have a look-see at Life at no. 2, Country Life Experiment and Helen’s Home Base. Special mention to Sarah from The Routine Queen who kindly took the snap below. I was hoping to include a photo of her too but it was getting late in the day when we got snap happy and unfortunately some of my pics were a little too blurry for publication.
Cue: Reunited and it feels so good…I first met Nathalie from Easy Peasy Kids at a Problogger training event and she is just as lovely as I remembered. Together, we chatted with Dani from Eat My Street. I’m now officially addicted to her blog and can’t wait to read more.
What other blogs should I be browsing this weekend?
