Monday mourning (14.09.15)

redchair
Monday mourners, it has been too, too long. Hardly a peep out of me in August and here we are slap bang in the heart of September. Wish I could report I’d been whooping it up some place exotic but truthfully I’ve been head down and, dare I say, derriere up.

Finally stuck my head up this weekend to indulge in a little op shop therapy. This black and white blouse cost less than my coffee. At $4.50 it was an open and shut case. By the way, the jury’s still out as to whether it should be buttoned to the neck or let a little loose.

Underneath, there’s an inbuilt cami that proved a bit challenging this morning. In a scene Houdini would have been proud of, I managed to tangle myself into quite a lather. In case you didn’t gather, I’m not much good before noon.

Now cast your eyes south and behold Black Beauty. This lovely leather carry-all was a steal at $15.00. She’s in top working order, sans a missing zip in an interior pocket but when it comes to handbags it’s what’s on the outside that counts, right? I love its geometric detail and handy one handle.

Please don’t think I was all retail and no detail. I whipped through a backlog of chores these last couple of days and also enjoyed a little Will & Grace marathon. Got my bake on but that’s nothing new. I work in a small office but all the birthdays seem to collide in August and September. Did someone say cake and coffee for morning tea? Don’t mind if I do.

Tell me, what did you get up to this weekend? Something delicious, I hope.

Linking up today with the Multitasking Mummy.

You are an op shop Pro for sure. I purchased a 6 year old boy’s birthday present. Oh and groceries. Yep, exciting life I lead.

Kathy, so nice to see you here online. If only that conference were a week-long event so we could all chat longer! As for those groceries, I hear you. Monday night and already the weekend’s a blur….

Oh I’ve missed you – I’m so pleased you’re back and looking mighty fine too! Loving that bag hard, never mind about the inside zip what the eyes don’t see, the heart won’t grieve over! This weekend was all about the fun and sun. I’m falling in love with spring all over again! xx

Thank you – it’s already becoming a favourite. It’s really soft and the perfect size. I could just about get the kitchen sink in there.

You amaze me woman, the things you find! I love the blouse and really like it buttoned up. As for the weekend, I enjoyed a stroll through some absolutely gorgeous historical homes in my home town, rich with history. I also enjoyed a family photoshoot that was well overdue!

What I got up to this weekend is getting up to Queensland – Noosa, specifically, and living the warmer weather. Hoping I can still catch up with you over the next week – but I’ve left your contact details back in Melbourne! Hopefully you’ll get this, and I’ll send through a message. Plus – love the bag and the shirt!
