Do you ever feel like an oversized toddler?
Yeah, me too.
This morning I wanted to throw a tantrum and refuse to leave the house. I wanted to stamp my feet and shove my fingers six inches into my ears whilst singing a high-pitched la la la to block out the alarm.
Instead I got up and got dressed.
I’m rocking red pins because I painted the town red this weekend. I spent the past 48 hours in Melbourne for Kidspot’s Voices of 2015 but I’ll tell you more about that a little later in the week. (p.s. if you were there, please don’t tell the others I’m wearing the same outfit I wore on Saturday. Oh the shame of it).
Needless to say, I’m Monday mourning. Here’s the who’s who of my dark hues…I’m wearing a Tree of Life skirt I bought last year, a Portmans top (also purchased 12 months ago) and of course my trusty Gorman boots are making another cameo. Not sponsored. Blah, blah. I’m sorry to be so uncommunicative but remember I’m sulking.
My inner child is cross because she wants the weekend’s good times to keep on rolling and my oh my did they roll…
As well as meeting a bunch of new bloggers and reconnecting with a few familiar online faces too, I squeezed in a couple of quick catch ups with my beloved Melbourne peeps who continue to amaze me with their wit, wisdom and warmth.
I also savoured my first coffee in six weeks (I’m giving up the black brew but that’s also a story for another day) and I spent 15 glorious minutes in Uniqlo where I picked up two cute additions to my winter wardrobe.
That’s it for moi for now. I’m dashing off to catch the bus, much as I’d rather be riding another airbus…
Tell me, did your weekend hit the heights? Are you Monday mourning?
Linking up today with The Multitasking Mummy.
