Monday mourning (27.07.15)

Monday mourners, I know it’s a jungle out there but before we head back to work, let’s make time to get back to nature.

You see, it’s in my nature to spot a bargain. Call it animal instinct but when I spied this leopard print blazer for $15 last winter…well I just knew it was made for Monday mournings.

It’s really roomy which is a bonus because there’s a bit more of me this winter. I usually pop a turtleneck underneath but today I’ve opted for a lighter sleeveless number.

I wanted to share a snap of my accessories too. Scroll down for the cute bit of bling I simply couldn’t resist. Are you feelin’ the feline theme? I hope so.

Before I go, a brief rundown of my weekend. We went to the markets early on Saturday morning and picked up oodles of fruit and veg. Afterwards, I whipped up a yummy beef and sweet potato curry (with a side of greens, if you don’t mind). Sunday I hit snooze and had a slow start followed by a long, lazy read of the papers. Capped it off with an afternoon nap. Golly it was nice to have a slowdown.

Did you hit the hay too? What filled your weekend?

  • I love that blazer, it looks like your week is going to be wild. My weekend was all about the jet lag although I did manage to stay awake long enough to go out for a welcome home afternoon tea! Here’s to a cracker of a week! x

Welcome home Sammie. I loved seeing snaps of your trip. Looks like you had a super visit. Here’s hoping the jet lag doesn’t last too long. x

Looking good in the jungle. I caught up with some blogging. Mr TG and I chopped off about 5 metres off a big tree in a “jungle” part of the garden before all the dangerous creatures come out when the weather gets warmer. Enjoy your safari today.

Thanks Fran. Golly that tree at your place must have been a big one! I know what you mean about bracing one’s self (and one’s garden) for the warmer months. Hope to see you on the Gold Coast in a few weeks. x

  • I’m a huge fan of leopard and every other animal print you can think of – love the jacket – what a bargain for $15!

It’s nice to have a break once in while. During weekends, I forget all about my work and spend time doing household chores and maybe a walk with my companion.

Ah yes…nothing like a walk to clear the mind.
